29 Years!

It was our anniversary weekend! Wow, 29 years, that is something that I am very proud of. Where has the time gone. I left work early on Friday and came home to hang out with Richard on the farm. I took some pictures of Brian's shop pad as my dad and Richard were working on it. Then we went down under the hill and took pictures of the progress on our hay barn. And then we worked in the turkey house for just a little over an hour trying to get ready for little birds this week. After we decided to call it a day, we went to Branson to go see Adam Sandler and Jennifer Anniston's new movie, "Just Go With It". We just enjoyed spending some time together. And then on Sunday evening we went to Red Lobster.

God has been so good to us and we have been so blessed. We have three beautiful healthy children, two wonderful sons-in-law, one grandson and a little granddaughter on the way. I can't wait to see what the next 29 years have in store for us.

LOVE

Happy Valentine’s Day.

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.  Love never fails.

So very thankful for my wonderful husband.  He surprised me with flowers at work today, personally hand delivered.  They are beautiful!

Of course I got Drew a Valentine and I think he loved it!

Sunday

The weather this weekend has been gorgeous; temps in the mid 60's! I have had another uneventful weekend. I wanted to get outside and go do something fun, but again didn't. I only got to see Drew last night while Kayla and Chase ran to Branson to eat supper. He was so good. He has added a few new words to his vocabulary. . . . night-night, ball, paw-paw. He now flaps his arms when you ask him how a bird goes. And when you ask him how a monkey goes,he scratches under his arms and says eeeeeeeiiiiiiiiiii. (Don't really know how to spell a monkey sound). And he can point to his ears, chin, cheeks, nose, eyes, belly button, and hair. He can also show you where his bottom is. When he is cold he also says brrrrrrr. And when you ask him if he can cry, he puckers and whimpers, too cute.

Seems as though I haven't been able to take many pictures of him lately. So here is another one that Kayla posted on face book. Her caption was "gotta teach him to floss early I guess".

Brrrrrrr!

Baby it's cold outside! This was the temperature reading on Brian's truck this morning on our way to work. MINUS 12 degrees!

Yes, that's right, he was taking me to work. Yesterday we had between 8 and 10 inches of snow. The bank closed early again. Actually our Operations building had to be evacuated at about 11:00, there was way to much weight on the rook and the ceiling was starting to cave in. Had to call a crew to start pushing the snow off so it could safely be occupied today.

While snowed in, Kayla and Drew decided to watch a movie. He looks so big here. And he loves his monster house shoes! Too cute!

Diagnosis

Well the scare this weekend was Kayla had started bleeding again, a lot. She has had these bouts through this whole pregnancy. Very scary! She saw her doctor this morning and again the baby is fine for now. He said she had a hematoma over her cervix. She did have another ultrasound and he could see the blood pooling on top of her cervix. Such answered prayers that this little girl is okay. She has spent most of the past two days in bed, resting. I continue to pray for this pregnancy.

Kayla snapped this picture of Drew late this afternoon. I copied it from facebook, thought it was so cute. Her caption was "I love dried cranberries!"

Nana's Sweet Boy

I got to spend the afternoon with little Drew again today. We picked him up on the way home from church. Kayla is not feeling well again and was ordered by her doctor to rest today. I thought that should be bed rest and I wanted her to stay off of her feet and that is definitely impossible if she were to have kept Drew.

So we decided to try and get in the Valentine's Day spirit by making some cupcakes. I thought Drew would have fun putting the sprinkles on them, but not so much. He keep eating them and would say "ummmmm" at the moment they touched his lips. He did put the cupcake liners in the pan for me.
It was so amusing to watch him blow on this pinwheel trying to make it turn. He tried for the longest time and then gave up and just hit it with his hand; over and over.
Just a shot of him on the stairs.
And another in his rocking chair. Kayla had him dressed up so cute this morning. He and his daddy had gone to church.

Snow Pictures

We woke up to about an additional 5 to 6 inches of snow this morning. It was beautiful!

Deer!

Richard's Deer! He has five game camera's out this year and has certainly enjoyed looking at his thousands of pictures. Late this past summer he planted turnips and clover in hopes to attract many deer. He also fed them corn and apples. Here are a couple of pictures taken today, February 4th. Very pretty in the snow.

TYJ!

I am feeling really blessed. Just wanted to bring to my attention a few things and review a few answered prayers. God is so good.
  • Brian just walked in the door from Memphis. TYJ for his safe trip to and from there.
  • Kristin is in Orlando, Florida safely and really enjoying her trip and also learning a lot. Still praying for her safe return.
  • Kayla called me today - we are going to have a little girl! I am so excited!
  • The winter storm came and went, left behind some snow and ice but it wasn't as bad as 'they' kept predicting. We dodged the bullet again. It is however, bitter cold. And we did not lose power. TYJ!
  • Today is my Mom and Dad's 49th wedding anniversary. I am so thankful for them and the stable home life they provided for me and my sister.
