1/2 Year Old!

It is absolutely unbelievable that Drew is already 6 months old! Here are some pictures that Kayla has forwarded to me . This one was taken on Monday, March 29, and it looks like he is learning to drip from a sippee cup. Big step!

Here is another one taken on the same day. This child loves to watch T.V. This cracks me up. He is totally chillin'.

And then on Tuesday, March 30th, his Momma took him to the park. The weather this week has been so pretty.

On another note, Kristin and Brandon are in their Church's Easter program. They have six performances this week. Richard and I are planning on going down on Saturday. Can't wait to see them. I have to get their Easter baskets fixed and ready to take to them. So wish they could come home for Easter dinner at Grandma Ginny's. This will be the very first Easter that I won't have her with us.

Dreaded Event

Well, little Drew got his first shots today. But I understand he had lots of attention, three nurses! And Kayla said he has done very well today. He did cry. Shots in both legs. After the first one, Chase said he just buried his little head between Chase's arm and his chest and when the second shot was over, he just looked up at his daddy and big 'ole tears started rolling down his cheeks. That just breaks my heart. Brings back such memories of when I had to take my children to get their shots. But I usually had to go by myself.

Kristin and Brandon worked out in their yard today and I understand they got a yard project started and half way done that they had wanted cleaned up for a long time.

Spring Snow Storm

This weather is crazy! Today is the first full day of Spring and it has snowed pretty much all day. I must say it was beautiful. Here is a picture I took while waiting on Brian at Wal-Mart.
And then I learned that my camera has the capability of taking videos! I had been wanting a Flip but now don't need one. If I could just learn how to work with the videos on my computer, I would be happier. Tried to upload a video here, uurgh, couldn't get it to work.
Little Drew has tooth number #2. He is eating fruits in addition to veggies now. Seems to really like bananas and applesauce.
Kayla came over yesterday and painted my bedroom! Yay! It looks so much better and I am now ready for spring. I will post pictures as soon as I get the curtains hung. We got rid of the brown and rust colored walls and painted them Silvermist. Sooooo pretty. Simple, light, and Springy!
Kristin and Brian both are on spring break this week. Yay for them!
Hannah made it home safe from Panama yesterday.

Flattered

Funny story. . . Tina wanted one of the recent Easter pictures I took of Drew. So last night I upload four pictures to Wal-Mart's one hour photo lab. I stopped by tonight on my way home to pick them up and the lady at the photo department said "ma'am, I need to see your copyright release please". I kinda chuckled but was a little miffed as well and said "ma'am, those are my pictures". She didn't believe me. She asked to see them again. Luckily I had some similar pictures with me in my purse and was finally able to convince her I really did take them. She finally said "OK, but when pictures are that good we have to ask for the copyright release". HAHAHAHA. I said I guess that is a compliment but they really are my pictures. I seriously thought she wasn't going to give me my pictures. I have to say I am kinda flattered. Sure wish I thought I was good enough to make some extra money at this.

I got to pick Drew up today at the sitter's. He just makes me smile; he makes what was just an ordinary day, a great one, or a bad day a good one. Kayla said he had bananas last night for desert. He had to eat all of his peas first though. He also had bananas for breakfast after his cereal. Wish I could get a picture of his tooth.

Signs of Spring

I absolutely love the time change. It was still daylight when I got off of work today. I had to stop at Wal-Mart on the way home and buy groceries and it was still daylight when I got home. That is so exciting. But I know when fall gets here I will be ready for it to change again. I absolutely love our seasons we have here in Arkansas.
I bought some Ribeye steaks tonight at the grocery store and have asked Richard to grill tomorrow night. I would love to come home, just once a month, and have supper ready for me.
Talked to Kayla tonight and Drew had peas for supper. She said he, again, ate the whole jar. She just didn't want to do carrots for the whole week. I think that baby would eat anything.
Kayla's caption on the picture when she sent it to me said "where's my poon?" Too cute !!!

Brian's girlfriend, Hannah Metcalf, is in Panama this week on a missions trip with her church. I am remembering her in my prayers. And an old acquaintance and friend, Neici Sharp Woolston, passed away Friday. We went to school together, church together for years, and we were pregnant at the same time. Even though she had some health issues her death was so unexpected. I am so heavy hearted for her family; also remembering her family in my prayers.

Catch Up

Wow! It's been awhile since I have been here. Actually I didn't realize how long. Our vacation, anniversary cruise, was absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend Royal Caribbean and the Freedom of the Seas to anyone. I would love to find a way to take a cruise every year! It was really hard to come back to cold weather. Once you start wearing sandals, who wants to go back to socks and shoes.
I really should post more often. Obviously, I have a very boring life because I can't remember a lot that has happened in the last 30 days.
Kristin and Brandon surprised me and came home on Saturday, February 27th. Lindsay's baby shower was that day. I had a wonderful time with my girls. I took them to lunch at the Mill before the shower.
Kayla came over today. We went to Branson. I want to redo my bedroom in something springy and summery. I bought new bedding and hopefully by next weekend I will be able to post pictures of a new room!
I got to keep Drew yesterday! I took some Easter pictures. We got baby turkeys Friday and I thought they would look enough like baby chicks that they would make some cute pictures.
Kayla started feeding him baby food yesterday. He ate a whole jar of carrots and loved them! I got to feed him another jar tonight. He is so funny! Before I could even get the spoon full and headed back to his mouth, he is sitting there with his mouth wide open wanting more.
And he finally has a tooth! And he is doing so good at sitting up on his own. Yesterday during pictures, he only fell over once. Seems like just over night he got so much better about sitting. But poor little guy has been so sick. I still don't know but what it is more allergies than anything but he just hasn't felt good.
