Thankfulness . . . Day 7
I have to list two things that I am thankful for today . . . . . #1 I was invited to attend Kristin’s doctor’s appointment today and see the 4D Ultrasound! I was so happy to see little Griffin and hear that everything looked really good. He weighs 2.1 pounds and his heart rate was 141.
I will hopefully get a better picture of little Griffin this weekend.
And #2 – Little Audrey is 7 months old today. Again so thankful for her.

Thankfulness Cont’d . . . Day 5
We celebrated Thanksgiving today with Richard’s side of the family. Uncle John and Aunt Lillian, Sherry and her family, Johnny Isom, and Aunt Kay were here so we had lunch at Shonna’s. I think there were 33 people there total. Isn’t that awesome! Shonna had tables everywhere and everything was so pretty.
I always have such good intentions to get some awesome family pictures and am always so disappointed when I get home and look at them. It is always so hard to get everyone together. I did not get any of Grandma Opal or Jerry and Ginny.
The food was wonderful and makes me so ready to share this coming Thursday with my family.
Kayla, Chase and Audrey
Kristin and Brandon
Brian and Megan
Drew and Emmie
On my side of the family, it is just me and my sister. We haven’t really ever been super close with our cousins like Richard’s family has. Our family get togethers are so different. Both good in different ways. The Blevins’ super noisy and loud and sometimes total chaos. The Cobb’s, more quite and calm. I will say it is so much fun to have small children in the family again.

Thankfulness . . . Day 4
I am so thankful for our middle child, Kristin. Thank you Lord for her and our relationship. She and I babysat Drew and Audrey this morning and then got to spend a couple or maybe three hours together in Branson this evening after Liz and Eric’s wedding reception.
We didn’t do anything super grand; just went to Kohl’s, Bed, Bath and Beyond, Target and Krispy Kreme! LOL! Kristin bought a Christmas gift at Kohl’s for a gift exchange at her in-laws and it was a donut maker. Well that made the pregnant lady hungry for a donut so we fulfilled that craving. And yay, the HOT light was on. So good!
Let’s just say they were so good!
Anyway, we always enjoy our time together.

Thankfulness. . . .Day 3
Dear Lord, I am so thankful that my sweet husband pays someone to clean my house on every Friday! My wonderful mother-in-law does so much for me and I so appreciate it. I don’t know how in the world I would get everything done between my work schedule and helping Kayla with the kids. I came home today and my house spelled like Pinesol! That is the most wonderful smell. And my laundry is always done. One day some time ago I remember Brian saying something about how he loved all of his clean clothes just magically appeared in his drawers. The sheets on my bed have usually been changed or washed and my bed is always made. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! So thankful!

Day 2
Dear Lord,I am so thankful for little Audrey!
Being that this is World Prematurity Awareness Day I thought mentioning little Audrey today was appropriate. On November 7th she had to go back to Springfield for a follow up EEG. Kayla got the results back a couple of days ago. Her brain activity was within the normal range! TYJ! We got to start lowering the dosage of her seizure medicine, phenobarbital this past Tuesday night. Weaning her off of the medicine will be a three week process. I so hope to see a more alert little girl in a few weeks.
Audrey is such a miracle and I recognize how blessed we are that she is here with us. Here is a picture of her at just six days old.
And here is Miss Audrey at six months old.

Thankfulness
So I am going to give this a try. The things I list will be random and have no particular order to them. This seems like it will be so easy . . . I have so much to be thankful for, certainly more than 40 things, I think. The second item for me will be much more difficult but I am going to try. Obviously I can not do this alone but with the Lord’s help I should succeed. And surely during this season where there is so much need, I can find someone to bless.
#1. Being that it is my oldest child’s birthday, I am thankful for my daughter Kayla. The Lord blessed us with her 28 years ago today. I was 19 and Richard was 21, wow! So young. She is a beautiful young lady and an awesome mother to Drew and Audrey. Dear Lord, thank you for Kayla.
Speaking of them, I have spent the last 52 hours with them. Chase took Kayla out of town for her birthday and I kept the kids. I spent Monday and Tuesday night at her hours and brought them to the farm during the day. I kept them at Kayla’s house today as Drew and I made her a birthday cake and he made her a card.
He would stick the candles is so far or with the wick down! HAHA. And he kept sticking his finger in the icing so he could lick it off.
Let’s just say I do not see how single mothers with absolutely no help do it. I was absolutely mentally exhausted. A 25 month old and a 6 1/2 month old require 100% of your attention all day!
Until tomorrow.

On A Roll!
Kayla and Chase have to have her in Springfield tomorrow morning for another EEG test at 8am. They have to wake her up at 5am and try and keep her awake. Good luck! I have been praying for weeks for good test results and that the doctors will take her off of her seizure medicine.
Kristin and Brandon came "home" this weekend. I always enjoy their time here so much. I got to feel little Griffin kick last night. Kristin says ice water make him go crazy. So she has some water and I got to experience that.
Kristin is 24 weeks along. It is so crazy to think about now, but that is the point when Kayla was admitted to the hospital.

Pictures!
I forgot to post pictures of Baby Motley! These were taken on September 29th, last Thursday, prior to the gender reveal party. Kristin’s doctor told her the baby was measuring perfectly and everything looked great. And her due date remains the same, on February 25th.
Look at that little foot! Such a precious miracle!
And then there was no doubt that we are having a boy!

Birthday Party!
Drew is Two!!! And we had a party! Kayla did a wonderful job making his Elmo cake and Sesame Street character cupcakes! While we were in Russellville on Thursday, we found an Elmo cake pan at Hobby Lobby and we decided we just had to have it. It would be perfect!
I held Drew up during the process to let him see what was his momma was doing. After Kayla had the eyes done, when he sa it he said “Elmo”. So he recognized it before it was even done.
And Drew with Great Great Grandma Opal Blevins. She is 93.
It was so cute, after we sang Happy Birthday, Drew would start singing again . . . .wanting us to sing the song again. He did this over and over.
And of course when I get home and look at the pictures I took, I am not happy with any of them. I so wanted to take Drew’s picture with his grandparents. And I do not have one picture of Ninny and PaPa, Peggy and Shannon, Jerry and Ginny, or Richard and I. So sad.

Gender Reveal!
I took off work yesterday and Kayla and I went to Russellville to help Kristin get ready for her “Gender Reveal Party”!
Kristin is 19 weeks and she had a doctors appointment a 10 to determine the sex. Kayla and I arrived in town at about 11:30 and we met her at the bakery. The ultrasound tech sealed the results of the test in an envelope and Kristin delivered to The Cake Place, her local bakery. She had made arrangements with them earlier and had ordered 50 cupcakes. They were going to fill them with either pink or blue filling, depending on what was in that envelope.
Then we headed to lunch at McAllister’s. LOVE their ice tea. And then it was a mad dash to Wal-Mart to finish buying groceries for party, the dollar store for balloons, and Hobby Lobby for decorations. It was a very busy afternoon. Then back to the church to get everything put together. I loved how it all came together.
And then it was time for the reveal!
And so it is, we are going to have another grandson! Very excited, happy, blessed, and thankful!
